Sanatan Dharm Mandir (Model Town), Panipat, was built in 1953 and has been run by the Shree Sanatan Dharm Sabha, Model Town, Panipat. It has also been hailed as a “Radhakrishnan” temple in Panipat city. Initially, the temple sabha’s basic motto was to spread religious activities such as the celebration of Navratri, Shivratri, Janmashtami, Dussehra, Diwali, Tulsi Vivah, and Ramleela and Govardhan Puja among the community. However, the temple is now involved in social activities as well. The new management’s philosophy is that religious and social activities should run simultaneously. In line with this, the temple distributes free rations to the needy, provides free education and supplies to students in its primary school, and organized 20 vaccination camps during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sabha is always ready to assist needy girls with their marriages.
